1. Core Data Principles
Raymarc Interactive designs software with a strict privacy-first foundation. We adhere to three non-negotiable principles:
- No Data Monetization: We do not sell, license, rent, or trade your personal information, telemetry, or game usage data to third-party advertisers, data brokers, or profiling agencies.
- Local-First Storage: High scores, game save states, workspace preferences, offline drafts, and configuration profiles are stored directly on your client device (via local sandbox storage, indexed DB, or localStorage) whenever possible.
- Backend Architectural Isolation: In accordance with our security architecture, database access (including PostgreSQL and authentication mechanisms) is handled exclusively via secure backend services. No database connection strings or administrative keys are ever bundled into client apps.
2. Information Collection & Usage
Depending on which specific game or application you use, data interaction is strictly limited to the functional requirements of that application:
- Offline & Standalone Games: Collect zero personal information. High scores, level progression, and settings remain solely on your local device.
- Web & Cloud Applications: Any user-provided inputs (such as notes, diagrams, or project configurations) are processed solely to deliver the requested feature and remain under your ownership.
- System Diagnostics & Crash Reports: If an unhandled exception occurs, your device or operating system may send standard anonymous diagnostic logs (such as OS version and stack traces) to help us patch bugs.
3. Device Permissions
Our applications request only the minimum operating system permissions strictly necessary for user-initiated interactions:
- Storage / File Access: Used exclusively when you choose to export, import, or save local files (e.g., saving an SVG graphic, exporting an audio sample, or loading a save file).
- Audio & Media Hardware: Audio permissions (e.g. microphone) are only engaged in specialized tools when you explicitly trigger an audio-recording or synthesizer feature. We never listen in the background.
- Network Access: Used solely to fetch updates, synchronize authenticated accounts if opted-in, or display published community showcases.
4. Children’s Online Privacy Protection (COPPA & Worldwide)
Our games and applications do not knowingly collect, solicit, or harvest personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Union). If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately, and we will promptly remove the information.
5. Third-Party Distribution Platforms
If you download or purchase our applications through third-party platforms such as the Google Play Store, Apple App Store, GitHub, or desktop package managers, the distribution, billing, and installation processes are governed by the respective store's privacy policy.
6. Data Security & Retention
We implement industry-standard safeguards, modern encryption, and secure deployment pipelines to protect all assets and transmissions. Because we prioritize local storage, you can delete your data at any time simply by clearing your browser cache, resetting application storage, or uninstalling the app.
7. Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA, POPIA)
Depending on your location, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information we may hold. Since our applications operate primarily without user tracking, we hold minimal to no identifiable data. To exercise any data rights, reach out directly to our contact email.
8. Updates to This Policy
We may update this universal Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in legal standards or product features. The latest revision date will always be displayed at the top of this document.
